Human Progress & The Fulfilled Life

Interesting questions to ponder:

  1. What is the most important measure of human progress?
  2. What does it mean to live a fulfilled life?
  3. Who or what inspires you?
  4. How did you become the creative person you are today?

My responses?

  1. The most important measure of human progress is empathy. A piece on measuring empathy here.
  2. Living a fulfilled life means having an intimate understanding of what makes your heart tango and the courage to dance (often solo).
  3. I’m inspired by failure, rejection, heartbreak, and those that overcome adversity.
  4. My creativity emanates from engaging in activities that challenge and stimulate my noodle.

Latching on to Suits

Unfortunately, I was unable to watch the final episode of Suits last night; however, my buddy gave me live updates via text. If you’re a fan of the show, you know the music is as stellar as Harvey’s attire. Sam Smith, Charlotte OC, and Chet Faker are just some of the innovative artists featured.

Thank you Will for keeping me in the Suits loop and for forwarding me this beautiful acoustic rendition of Latch. Made my evening :).

Have Faith

“When you let go of something you are holding onto, you make room for your destiny to move in.

When you let go, you must have faith.

Have faith in the process, trust that you are going to a place you are meant for, a place that might not make sense now but will make plenty of sense later. You will see that because this happened, that happened. And the order of it all, no matter how painful or beautiful, was exactly what it needed to be.”
