In research and in life, it’s all about how you frame your questions. The question guides your journey, serves as a reference point when you feel lost, and quite often leads you to new discoveries and identifies further areas of exploration. Invest the time to accurately word your question and consider the assumptions you make as you articulate your line of inquiry. As Silva explains in the video above, “It’s not about the answers! It’s about the better questions!” Most of all, be passionate about your question because it’s that energy and drive that will serve as a great motivator during your quest.

Kindness
“It has always seemed strange to me,” said Doc. “The things we admire in men — kindness and generosity, openness, honesty, understanding, and feeling — are the concomitants of failure in our system. And those traits we detest — sharpness, greed, acquisitiveness, meanness, egotism, and self-interest — are the traits of success. And while men admire the quality of the first, they love the produce of the second.” ~ John Steinbeck, Cannery Row

Magic About You
Blend the genius of Damien Rice with the tender voice of Dallas Green and I think you get something close to Andrew Hozier-Byrne. I’m keeping my fingers crossed he captures the Grammy for Take Me to Church (parental advisory). Hozier will be in Vancouver on February 15th at the Orpheum. Until then, I’m enjoying his live session of From Eden.
