Peahi. Teahupo’o. Oh My.

“The ones who push the limits discover sometimes the limits push back.” This summer I took up kiteboarding and it’s one of those sports that when things go bad…they go bad fast. There’s so much to think about with your kite, your lines, your board, the wind and now add Peahi to the mix?! Crazy. Teahupo’o also took a bite of Porcella in July. I’m not sure which wipeout is worse :). I’m just glad he survived!

From Sea to Sky

I’m often asked why I spend so much time climbing mountains. I thought a great deal about it this summer and I believe it’s because the mountains offer me opportunities…opportunities to learn, to fail, to succeed, and to challenge myself. The process of climbing requires my undivided attention and exercises my ability to focus on established goals and objectives. The journey encourages growth and self-discovery. The destination provides the space and time for reflection.

Wishing you all a wonderful journey as we welcome a new year!
