Hiked Garibaldi with my buddy Stephen! He took this shot at The Barrier. Fantastic day! See more of our adventure here. I’m particularly fond of the face plant photo below! :).

The afternoon challenged us to say the least. The ground became sloshy. My legs cut through snow like a hot knife slicing butter. We opted to leave the snowshoes in the car due to their weight. Massive mistake. Great workout though! 🙂 Read the stages of postholing here! Absolutely hilarious and I thoroughly experienced them all.

My interest is the journey. Negotiating the terrain. Trying to overcome the challenges and adversities along the way. Immersing myself in an experience that tests my perseverance and strength. Willing myself to take another step knowing I may sink again. And again. And again!

Cheers!

for the secret of the sea,
and the heart of the great ocean
sends a thrilling pulse through me.”

Heading to Nova Scotia tomorrow! Traveling the breadth of Canada. Absolutely bonkers over the thought of exploring this beautiful landscape. Have a great weekend and I’ll catch you on the other side :).

Interesting questions to ponder:

  1. What is the most important measure of human progress?
  2. What does it mean to live a fulfilled life?
  3. Who or what inspires you?
  4. How did you become the creative person you are today?

My responses?

  1. The most important measure of human progress is empathy. A piece on measuring empathy here.
  2. Living a fulfilled life means having an intimate understanding of what makes your heart tango and the courage to dance (often solo).
  3. I’m inspired by failure, rejection, heartbreak, and those that overcome adversity.
  4. My creativity emanates from engaging in activities that challenge and stimulate my noodle.
